What would Jesus think about our military spending?

I am quite sure that Jesus would say we should start preemptive wars. Didn't Jesus tell that to GWB personally?

Oh how I wish evangelical Christians would "leave politics out, leave government out." But unfortunately, they don't.

Jesus wasn't a politician, leave Him out of this. I think He's done enough for mankind.

I appreciate that many Christians give a lot to charity, for the Bible says to do so.
However, history shows that this charity is nowhere near enough to relieve the suffering of the very old, the very young, and the less fortunate in this country. Just look at what the "golden years" were like for millions of Americans before Social Security.

I'll do that - as soon as His followers leave His (alleged) teachings out of our Government and our laws.

I agree.

And how long until those people stop making that money, and just give up?
Why work at all, if the govt is only going to steal it, in order to give to lazy people? Or they'll just leave the country and take their earning dollars with them.
