Capitalism? What capitalism? Not in corporate America under national socialism!

Actually, if you think about it - "the management" is rewarded for higher profits. But government intervention has skewed the "capitalist" system into subtle socialism via taxation on producers.

Imagine if the "evil" corporations had ZERO taxes to pay....How could they boost profits?
Not by playing accounting games, moving around "tax deductions" and "costs of doing business". No sirree. It would be "bottom line" - cut costs - including the costs incurred by "the management". No executive limos nor corporate jets. No "special perks". Too wasteful if not a tax write-off. CEOs will join car pools. As my old boss told a salesman - "I'm in the business to make money - not to spend it."

And since the only way to increase gross income is to sell more of whatever it makes or does, that spells higher employment for the "little people" doing the grunt work.

No public corporation's stock holder base would tolerate a board or executive slate that killed off profits to enrich themselves. Get government entirely OUT of the way, and America may recover. But don't expect government to ever be the solution to the problem it creates.

My company learned from dancing with the Government, the importance of realizing that the Government is big, clumsy with Down's Syndrome and Parkinson's, and armed with a "safety off" dance style of inferiority complex.

I am not a communist. I am NOT a communist. As to whether I'm in that 11%, I'll leave that a mystery.

You seem to be obsessed with money and redistribution of wealth, so obviously one must assume that you measure success by wealth. That appears to be YOUR measure of success- not mine. Wealth comes as an ARTIFACT to hard work and dedication. It is not a goal in and of itself.

Again- stop whining, pull yourself up by your bootstraps, take some personal responsibility and you will feel much better about yourself. Those who buy into the concept of helplessness and inability to compete in the world have resigned themselves to despair. Most of these people, like yourself, are very pessimisstic and defeatist in nature. I really cannot stand to be around such people, as their pessimisstic attitude is infectious and can perpetuate gloom.

You CAN succeed- you just need to change what you are doing. Again, take my suggestion about buisness ag and you will do fine. If, on the other hand, you are comfortable complaining and wallowing in misery, carry on as before.

Regarding being a communist, you have already stated that you oppose capitalism and are against free markets. If that does not make you a communist, perhaps you could enlighten us and correct our perceptions. If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck,it is probably a duck.

I am sick that an idiot with no education can become a governor in this once great country. It is NOT NOT NOT what my father fought for in the world war. Thank you god I am not a p.o.s. wisconsin governor raping the people...what a sick sad excuse for human being that thing is.....
So you would rather have an educated idiot?

A formal education does not fix the idiot part. For a good example, just look at who's living in the White House.

You are, of course, spot on with your assessment and advise. However, I suspect like all the other such bits of advice to the sky pilot, it falls on deaf ears.

And there is much question about his "education". He seems to have the same problem documenting that aspect of his life as well.

Yep- whining is easier than work and introspection. That is why whining is the comfortable refuge of the uninitiated.

Good post. Id rather pay 50% more at Earthfare than go to a disgusting trashy Walmart...where you are buying god knows what....All Newmans products and profits go to charity. He is a decent person who created a decent corp.

cant say that about the whores on Wall Street, JPMorgan, wells fargo and ally bank. All of whom have decimated the american economy. Love that candyass ad for Liberty Mutua l"do the right thing" what crooks and liars.

That's called freedom of choice. That is an intrinsic part of capitalism.

Yes, just like his private acres in Palm Beach Fl: "George W. Bush Boulevard" in Palm Beach. A wonderful country where everyone has the same ability to succeed....please spare the pablum.

The problem is not all Americans are brain-dead idiots waving the flag anymore......The haves and the have-mores own more than ever in this country, while everyone else is being nickel and dimed.
