Oil companies put up among the highest profits in the United States, but are also the highest subsidized industry in the U.S, receiving roughly $4 billion a year in subsidies from the government. As part of the debate regarding the current budget and the deficit, an Amendment was offered in the House to eliminate subsidies to oil companies (the Amendment did not pass)
So the question is quite simple do you favor eliminating the roughly $4 billion a year in subsidies for oil companies?
YES......it's nothing more than welfare.......OPPS!!!!....I mean a subsidy for big business....and prolongs our dependance on oil......for both foreign and domestic sources.

Of course not, that all trickles back down to us, right?
We should eliminate all subsidies to all companies. Including farmers and the environental groups. We should also eliminate all subsidies to all charities. Then we should start looking into getting rid of subsidies for individuals.
Congress has turned into nothing more than a money distribution center. That's not it's purpose.
