There is an evil sickness. Not changing my mind the line is drawn / adults have no place with minors in any sexual anything. No excuses
There's "no excuse" for bringing in the death penalty to such a conversation. That's pure kneejerk stupidity.

That's a myth. The rate of murder in prisons is actually quite low (3 per 100,000); lower than in most cities.

Nope, if anything Napster users would have been utilizing Tor.

Typically if you want to communicate securely you are going to encrypt data. This can prevent someone from reading you data but it won't prevent them from knowing the communication took place and who is doing the communticating.

Tor takes this step further by hiding who is communicating. It uses a distributed network with each hop of the data independently encrypted. If you want an analogy here suppose I'm going to write you a message and I include my address so you know who sent it so you can reply. I put it in this magic envelope that cannot be opened by anyone accept the person it's addressed too.... you. Then I put it into 20 more magic envelopes addressed to 20 people in succession.

Each of those 20 people only know who gave it to them or who they gave it too. No single individual can tell you where it originated from or where the final destination is.

None of this any kind of secret, people use these services all the time for whatever reason. Certainly illegal activity is going to be a lot of the traffic but it's not the only traffic.

I agree 100%. This is a one strike offense: you rape a child, you get the death penalty...immediately.
The bleeding hearts can cry about it at your gravesite.
