Wisconsin Governor Walker: 43% Approval Rating - Rasmussen Reports™

Tell me again why those 14 Dem Senators need to worry about voter backlash by standing up to some bully who doesn't represent the majority in his State?
I believe the reason why he is unwilling to compromise is because he has put himself between a rock and hard place. The stakes are super high. This is really do or die for him. Only two ways this scenario is going to play out. If he manages to break the union, then he will skyrocket within the GOP. They are craving for a leader, this guy might fill the void. He might even be nominated to run against Obama in 2012, the Great White Hope. Now if he fails in breaking the unions, then he will have to walk with his tail between the legs. This will also send a nationwide message to the right that the unions are not going to back down. A lot is riding on this.

If the unions win, at least one industry -- printing -- will benefit, because Winconsin is going to have to start issuing its own money. Maybe they can put Saul Alinsky on the twenty.

Really, you guys need to take a look at what happened in IN and NJ. Same thing. First thing Daniels did was rescind CB, ratings TANKED, four years later, re-elected easily.

Same thing will happen in WI, once all the drama is over with and the state fiscal situation is righted.

See, because of the historic election in 2010, you will see this happening all over the country, where the GOP control the reins.

Possibly so but the country will be a lot worse off because of it.

Fortunately, the rest of the country doesn't share your view.

Nothing could be worse than the last 4 years, with the democrats in control.

Newt Gingrich as President, Palin as VP, with a GOP congress could be worse. Much worse.

No. Walker is unwilling to compromise the plan he ran on and was elected on because he and the Republicans seem to be the only adults (aka those acting conscientiously) in WI at the moment. Think about it... It takes 10 taxpayers paying $10,000 in property taxes each to pay for one public employee making $100,000 in salary plus benefits.

The math doesn't work.

Walker and the Republicans recognize and are addressing that, but the unions and the Dems are throwing temper tantrums because they don't like the fact that the mathematical reality is that their greedy demands cannot be met.
