Yeah, we get it, HD. You don't like the fact that the Dems' and the union's corruption and their insistence on forcing WI taxpayers to keep overpaying the union $100 million per year for insurance is on full display.

Ripping off the WI taxpayers $100 million per year is the core of what MAKES them a union?

Again... post just one poll that says the WI taxpayers support continuing to let the teachers' union overcharge them $100 million per year for teachers' insurance benefits.

Wisconsin Governor Walker: 43% Approval Rating - Rasmussen Reports™

Tell me again why those 14 Dem Senators need to worry about voter backlash by standing up to some bully who doesn't represent the majority in his State?
I think it's pretty clear that politicians on both sides don't care about public opinion unless and when its election time..

But I would guess the situation there might be similiar to what we have here in Maine..

You are basically making the argument that the "majority" of the population of the state is not backing the governor..

The people who stand to LOSE are certainly not going to back what the govorner wants to do there.. "state workers" add to that the spouses and immediate families, and just the stupid people who dont know better... your fighting an uphill battle..

In Maine you can take 10 people and half work for government, 2 are married to a government employee and from there good luck getting anything done..

Personally Maybe what a state like WIS needs is to get everything they want.. FINE! raise the crap out of taxes and keep up the cycle until it all collapses..

What was it that was collectively bargained for?

Oh yeah, the union's $100 million per year in overcharges for which the WI taxpayers have to pay higher taxes.

This response is totally off-topic, however, I just have to ask: if there was no compromise, how is that there were so many Republican amendments included in the final bill?
