Walker's problem is that he has no finesse. Threatening to fire 1,500 people if rival politicians don't do what you want? That shows him to be childish, spiteful, and totally lacking any compassion for those losing their jobs. Most parents like their kid's teachers. Demonizing them isn't the way to win support. At least pretend that it's a tough decision to fire someone.

The new crop of Republicans have shown that they can't do anything without demonizing their targets. In these tough times it should be possible to cut the education budget without demonizing teachers, cut PBS funding without demonizing PBS, cut welfare rolls without demonizing those on it, and want tougher immigration enforcement without demonizing Mexicans.

LOL, Palin never campaigned to destroy the unions, but I'm willing to bet that if she were to ever win she'd do just that. Like I said, you have no proof that Walker ever campaigned on that issue.

Are you claiming the teachers' union rep just made it up last August, and then it just happened to come true much later in 2011? That's pretty far-fetched. Who's dumb enough to believe that?

WI taxpayers knew about it, and so did the teachers' union who complained about it in August of 2010.

Unfortunately these times call for adults. Our credit card has hit it's limit. There is no way to finesse our way around that one. If the Dems refuse to allow sensible cuts, layoffs are the result. The blame lies squarely with them.

Are you under the mistaken impression that Palin ran for Governor of WI?

No wonder you're so confused.

No, I'm claiming that the teachers union rep was smart enough to know that most GOP governors are hostile to unions and are hell bent on breaking them.

All I asked is for one simple quote from Walker and you have nothing.

I think you are confused. most Republican Governors are on the side of the tax payer and are regaining control of spending from the unions.

The union rep referred specifically to Walker's PLAN, not what she thought Walker might do, but his actual PLAN.

The unions agree that cuts and layoffs are necessary - budget targets would have been met -but Walker wants to go one step further and destroy the unions. That's not being an adult. His poll numbers would have been better if he'd stick with the financials.
