Ok, I am going to help you out here since you and the other poster have no idea what the issue is. Currently many Wisconsin school districts are forced to buy their insurance from teacher union owned insurance company at greatly inflated rates. The only way to rescue the middle class tax payer from lining the teachers unions pockets is to limit collective bargaining of benefits. It is hardly a move that will kill unions. It will stop the fat cat union leaders from getting richer, but it won't affect the rank and file.
That said, it’s simply not accurate to rate Walker’s claim that he campaigned on what he is now doing as “false.” In fact, he did campaign on much of what he is now doing. And while the specific collective bargaining proposal in the budget repair bill was not a regular line in his stump speech, it was also no secret that he would make significant changes to Wisconsin’s collective bargaining rules.
For some reason, they like to ignore stuff like this.
Yeah, more and more polls - including one from Rasmussen now - are showing Walkers' numbers are most definitely on the way down, and I would suspect that sooner or later those falling numbers will start to affect the WI GOP representatives in general - at which point he'll start to come under pressure from his own party to compromise.
Sounds like the Democratic plan to stave off a vote until the public turns against Walker & the GOP is starting to bear fruit.

Also the recall drives of 8 GOP Senators are starting up. One liberal website raised $150K in a few days to help fund it. Some of these are in historically Dem districts that the GOP barely one. The GOP will cave on collective bargaining before this is all done.
Walker is "going downhill like a snowball headin' for he11". I guess he is finding out that overtly misleading the public while campaigning, can have consequences. People with a family orientation and a strong work ethic, then to get riled up when someone like Walker tries to treat them with utter disrespect. They do not like people who would like to be the overlord. Fortunately Wisc has a mechanism to correct the mistake fairly quickly. Other States may have to take longer to rid themselves of their, Walker like pretenders, but they will.

It's nothing but a "red herring". Sure the deficit is an issue but it pales in comparrison to the real problems the country has and will not deal with. You tell me??? How does this debt impact your life and the lives of most ordinary Americans? It has become "The issue" on the right because it eliminates anyone focusing on any kind of reform needed to bring the USA out of the 19th century.
The country is as corrupt as your average 3rd world country. Your justice system is totally screwed up and broken. Healthcare is a mess. The foreign policy of the USA is in shambles. Corporate power has moved back to pre Theodore Roosevelt times where their interests trump the interests of the country and the people. Your entire political class and process has become nothing but whores who are owned by the pimps who control them. The dumbing down of your national leaders has become a bad joke in the rest of the world. The country is being taken to the cleaners by wall street and the people of America are paying dearly for it. The workers of America are being betrayed by the corporations who would rather pay a Chinese worker than an American worker. The entire consumer society of the United States is not sustainable and the focus of national life needs to change?? The poverty rate is growing. Inequality is growing. Your cities are disintegrating right before your eyes. The country is becoming mean spirited and nasty because of total failure to address any of the problems that beset your average citizen.
These are but the tip of the iceberg that is afflicting the country. But Ya, the defict, that's the only problem in the country that the brain dead right can see. You people just keep on listening to and believing their lying, self serving dung. Just keep on electing them and your country is going to swirl down the drain at an ever increasing rate. It won't take too long before the USA and Mexico are on par and it won't be because Mexico has gotten any better.
Man wanted the Democrats and Obama to compromise on the healthcare bill as well, but liberals celebrated their lack of compromising as a sign of leadership and strength.. Tell me why we should care about people wanting Walker to compromise?
I believe the Democrats took out the public option as just one of the many compromises.
Thank guy the guy is a leader. We are at a time in our history when statesmen will do what is best for the country rather than what is best for their political careers. Too much of the latter has lead us to where we are today.
Go find one yourself. Obviously, it was known what his plans were, why else would the union have been in a panic, warning voters of just that.
