Wisconsin State Senate Republicans Took Hundreds Of Thousands In Government Farm Subsidies

I love how people rail against public funds, and take them.

Both parties took advantage of the program, while only one called everyone else who takes public money wastrels.

The cry of the hypocrite - "Do as I say, not as I do."

Public worker unions and farm subsidies both exploit taxpayers just the same.
Lets do away with both.

That amounts to $7,100 per year for each of those three senators.

To me it is really irrelevant, as I'm not one who stands with those ranting that anyone taking one penny of public money is wrong.

Personally farm subsidies are good things, though currently implemented in the wrong way. The last thing you want is a country importing all of the food necessary for it to survive.

Is that suppose to take away from the fact these people are lined up at the public trough?

No different than my area's Republican hypocrite Michele Bachmann.

And over the course of the period of 15 years, over $100k each in ill-gotten gains.

Trying to minimize doesn't make it any better for the vilified family of 4 trying to make it on two minimum-wage jobs.

It's not a really big deal for me, either, but they hypocrisy is what boggles me.

Wow. A whole $100k over 15 years? You do realize that the WI teachers' union-owned insurance company is overcharging taxpayers $100 million per year for teachers' insurance, right?

So their farm should be put at disadvantage while these funds partially paid for by themselves go to another farm?

There is no hypocrisy here, you have to work within the system or lose out. In the meantime you can advocate for changes to the system.

The left uses this same stupid argument all the time. The issue is not whether someone is taking subsidies or not, the issue is that it's available in the first place.
