More states to follow.

And note to the left: No one is buying into your fake "corporations vs. the middle class" meme.

Most people are quite aware that it's the public employee unions vs. the taxpayers.
In MI, TN, OH....the list is growing.

The unions don't have enough people to bus around to other states. If the "people" really cared so much, you would see massive demonstrations across the country, which you don't.

The bill was pushed through by Michigan's new Republican Gov. Rick Snyder and has met with surprisingly
little resistance in such a pro-union state. The last protest in Michigan saw fewer than 300 protesters, one of the smallest protests in any state.

The Nevada state legislature also was given all but a green light to pass a similar law when it witnessed a minor turnout of more than 100 protesters on Feb. 28.
I bet you, a lot of those union members will be happy they don't have to be forced into paying dues to the democrat party.

You mean like Obama took certain parts of the healthcare bill out of the Obamacare bill and passed it seperately?

"Unless things change, the post office will run out of money by the end of the fiscal year in October, Postmaster General Patrick R. Donahoe told the House Oversight subcommittee on the postal service."

Nah, there will probably just be mass layoffs!

Thats not entirely accurate. The only reason why the Post Office is running out of money is because the federal government has mandated that the Post Office move their retirement benefits off the taxpayer into their own pension fund. This move has required the post office to build up a huge sum of money for retirement benefits draining the Post Office.

In addition, the amount Congress required the Post Office to build up by some reports, amounts to an over funding of billions and billions of dollars.
http://www.ampc.org/blog/2010/07/why...-office-broke/
Congress requires that the USPS fund both the retirement program and the health plan at 100%. The average for the S&P 500 funding is 80%. Other federal employees is 41%; the military is 24%; and the some government bureau which requires the USPS to fund at 100% does not fund its plans at all.
Due to the usual government accounting standards, requirements and regulations, the USPS believes that they have over-funded the plans by $75 billion and they want it back. The amount of $75 billion is equal to a year’s income at the USPS.

Oh really?

Then who pays the postage, little Leprechauns?

It is a government institution, just like the Federal Reserve is.

People who buy postage

What are you trying to say, that because they sell postage to pay to ship something that they have to be paid by the federal government?

Question: Who pays for Post office employee benefits? Not the taxpayers, who pays their salaries? Not the taxpayers. Who pays for their retirment? Not the taxpayers..

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is an "independent establishment of the executive branch" of The United States Government (see 39 U.S.C. § 201)
