I do give him props for his quick response to the Japan earthquake and the resulting tsunami.

I turned on the news while getting ready for work this morning and see that he had issued a statement already directing FEMA to get to work, and expressing sympathy to those affected. Good on him.

Under Bush, Obama is getting on top of things before serious disaster hits which is a smart move.

I heard FEMA is going to send them a few trailers that they had laying around unused.

It seems it would be pretty easy to direct assistance to foreign disasters. The real test will be a Katrina-sized disaster here at home.

Well, we know he had a few other disasters that he had a chance to practice on..which he failed at....so 1 out of 2 or 3 is not so bad....

Your ideology voted for the guy who put a horse wrangler in charge of FEMA. Don't blame Obama for that failure in leadership.
