The 2002 was a result of 2001 economic decline.. The economy didnt turn around until after Bush passed the tax cuts..

Stop making excuses and deflecting. Just pick a year that defines "economic prosperity" since 2000 and show me that capital gains revenue was even higher (much less compared to GDP because that will open a whole other area that you may not like to tread into).

well it shouldn't require "belief." If they really supported deficit reduction, then they'd propose something that actually did that.

it isn't a start. it is nothing. it is purely symbolic.

the republicans aren't proposing meaningful deficit reduction. period.

Spending should be rolled back to 1999 levels. The gravy train is off the tracks.

Well clearly they ARE. And clearly the Dems do not want to cut spending , they want to increase it.
