You've shown courage and backbone in the face of Republican hatred, stupidity, entitlement mentality, and nearsightedness.

Never spending more than 8 hours on the job...ever again, forget those unpaid extra hours you gave out of dedication to the children....when your 8 hours are up, walk out.
You got it! There is the problem. Teachers somehow think their "salaried' positions mean they don't have to take work home with them.
I'd like to meet another non-union salaried employee who thinks the same.

You should stop confusing activism and indoctrinating, and using their students, to make their points for them.

No more volunteering to coach sports teams....no more volunteering for ANY school related events...ALL the Republican parents can take care of that.
What state do you live in when a teacher doesn't get paid for coaching a sports team? What school related events?

Never ever spend one more penny of YOUR money on any school supplies, if the state or parents don't take responsibility to see that classrooms have adequate supplies, why should you ?
Yep. Start paying some of your healthcare, or question why your supers make $200K...get some of that school supply money back.

No more extra hours getting a higher degree to improve teaching skills...why? You aren't going to get paid for it.
Absolutely banish that...you really think teachers' "higher learning" isn't subsidized? Not to mention there is no proof that a teacher with a masters or a PhD can teach any better than someone with a BA in anything, real-world experience, and went through the "alternate route" program? If they couldn't, most states wouldn't allow them to. But they do.

In other words , give the ignorant Republicans what they asked for.
Nah, just keep riding the free train, that the ignorant liberals live off of....and don't think should ever END.

Free benefits, free free free, except the poor homeowners who are loosing their homes foot the bill. Teachers dont believe they should pay their own pensions and health care because the children will suffer. like this makes sense

Thanks for showing the reality of completely not knowing what you are talking about...
Now, would you be promoting hate in this? You have called a lot of people names....and have told lies...
Oh and BTW....the teacher are at work (most of them)....those were college students who had nothing better to do.
And..................HA HA HA haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa woooooooo I needed to laugh tonight.....
This has to be one of the most useless posts I have read on C-D....
If all the teachers who have skipped out on school to take part in the Wisconsin protests get paid for their time off, it could end up costing taxpayers around $9 million so far,
Teachers of Wisconsin, please know that taxpayers expect good performance on your part. Get out there and really teach.
Taxpayers of Wisconsin. You get what you pay for. Bullying teachers will just make the best ones leave for states that treat them better.
Congratulations on joining the race to the bottom.
