The Elite Corporate Rich have been systematcially looting this country full-time, ever since the last regulatory restrictions were removed in the 70's and 80's. They've successfully bought enough Congressmen over the years to make sure they get their way. Now, they've packed the SCOTUS, to make sure court decisions go their way (Citizen's United), so there are no restrictions what so ever in how much money they can use to buy MORE political influence.
Now that they've bankrupted the country, and there is no money for a social network, they are sitting back chortling, while we are at each others throats for the scaps. Remember the fake phone call Walker took from Koch? Yeah, I know, that wasn't Koch, BUT THAT WAS WALKER!!! Pay close attention to what he said- the curtain was definitely parted there for a minute.
Congratulations, Happy. You are an example of just what they were hoping for. A middle class American pissed off at OTHER middle class Americans, while the real culprits are getting away with murder.

I love seeing the People revolting against Tyranny! After conceding EVERY FINANCIAL demand to help the state balance the budget, the Governor and Republican Legislature STILL voted to strip them of bargaining rights that have been the LAW in WI for half a century, & that have NO fiscal impact on the current budget. I "stand" in solidarity with them.
No. I've posted the news article several times in which Doyle's administration ADMITS leaving Walker a multi-billion dollar budget deficit, and even tells Walker what must be cut, including the state health program cuts the farmers were protesting.
Ok, and then what ? How would a Dem Governor balance the budget yet give everyone what they wanted ?
Walker inherited a future deficit from the preceding Governor.
The debt was there when Walker took office.
As has been proven over and over and OVER, bargaining rights have no fiscal impact on the current budget crisis.
But if you want to talk about some mysterious "future deficit" that was somehow "inherited" by Walker, then you CANNOT brush off the "future deficit" he created himself, with his tax breaks to big business that are projected to increase the budget deficit by $67 million over the next 2 years.

I find it remarkable how the republicans have turned union and thugs into one word in such a short time. Their propaganda machine rivals the best Goebbels ever put together. unionthugs, unionthugs, unionthugs. Next it will be "seniorparasites" and "lazyunemployed" coupled with "greedyfoodstamprecipients" and "slovenlysinglemothers". Once you put issues in these terms it's easy to marginalize the affected group and take everything they have away from them. Which the republicans are in the process of doing.
These union pukes are nothing but greedy, self-serving rabble that think they can intimidate the taxpayer into perpetual economic servitude by their mob intimidation tactics.
The public knows that the unions have gotten away with murder - and it's time to pay the piper.
If they think they have it bad - then quit and get a job in the private sector - then they'll know the meaning of the word 'work'.
