A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 33% of Likely U.S. Voters would rather have Congress avoid a government shutdown by authorizing spending at the same levels as last year. Fifty-eight percent (58%) says it’s better to have a partial shutdown until Democrats and Republicans can agree on what spending to cut.

58% Favor Government Shutdown Until Spending Cuts Are Agreed Upon - Rasmussen Reportsâ„¢

Hear that Bohner?

Go ahead and grow a pair.

Borrow Newt's if you have to, but get the spending cuts done.

With a shutdown, my concern would be that Obama as a wartime President, would enact a state of emergency to make a power grab.

I generally don't take Rasmussen at face value.

When they do a poll like this, they usually only give their pollsters two options.

Support shutdown, or do you not support a shutdown until the budget is balanced.

Usually most folks have an opinion that is somewhere in between.

I would support a shutdown until the budget is 75% balanced.

Well, Rasmussen has made it pretty clear that its polling leans and includes mostly the brain dead.

Since Rasmussen polls mostly the RW, it just shows how clueless that demographic is.

Now let's ask them what they want to cut.

Anything they benefit from? Nope.

Stuff the other guy benefits from? Yeah, let's cut that.

Actually the poll results go on to say 53% wants more cuts... and 46% of the Republicans see the proposed GOP cuts as not having an impact.

Assuming you meant... "why the hate", it is not hatred, it is pointing at the reality there is.
