Michigan Unions Use Astro-Turf Protests to Intimidate Businesses | The Blaze

This is reportedly happening in Michigan to a small, non-unionized business. From the link:

"*The union has targeted a non-union business.
*They demand that the business allow the union to examine private payroll records, or else.
*Customers of the business are also targeted with on-site protests with banners and picket lines (often staffed with non-union day labor being paid less than union wages and not afforded health benefits)."

I think its clear where the "real" bullying problem is in this country.

I'm no legal expert, but doesn't this sound like extortion? How can they demand to see this private company's private payroll?

And how 'bout the Union staffing their protests with non-union, day laborers paid LESS THAN UNION WAGES!!!

What's that I hear ringinng. Oh yes, the alarm clock, cause it is time to wake-up and smell the stench that is "unions" (and hold the sob-stories about child-labor and 40-hour work weeks, and buggy-whips, and the ice-delivery guy, cause that is all ancient history).

Same thing i was thinking. Just more trash from Beck's ultra-right wing propaganda site. The goons on the right are just desperate to find anything to fit their made up "union thugs" garbage. The idea of people peacefully protesting is beyond them.

Great post. I think we're all tired of these ancient history sob stories that try and justify what has become nothing more than bullying, intimidation of the real, middle Americans by Union Gangstas.

None so blind as they (perhaps you) who refuse to see! If you can't see the bullying it is ONLY because you REFUSE to see the bullying.

GET A CLUE, any one will do, for starters. Wake up and smell the stench that is Unions rotting away into goo (as they should). It's a new era, a new age where people stand on their own two feet, not on the backs of the rest of America.

Divorce thineselves, oh Mr. and Mrs. Sans a Clue from the ranks of the CLUELESS.

Wake up
Grow up
Man up
Stand up

Yes, wake up to corporate America who will take care of the little guy, give out fair wages, and watch out for the poor. The banking industry cares for you. Education is a top priority. We all care! Disband all unions, even in right to work states, because they are bullies who ask outragous things like time to eat during the day. This is 2011, a new age of reason, where everyone has a fair shot at life. Why stand together when you can stand alone on your own two feet and make something of yourself. No need to fear, America has our backs and we can make it if we try, have faith in the system, no one is an expendable workhorse like the days of yore. Unions are only out for themselves and the public. They want all your money! Not like the kind caring bankers or large coporations who donate all their profits to the needy. Look at the greedy unions, don't look anywhere else. You know they are the cause of everything. Look over there. Look! Houdini would be proud.

The unions are only about the unions, and not the little guys at all, i have many friends who are in unions, and the unions don't play Fair, no matter how anyone want to cut it. They are only about themselves, and don't come thru for their employees when they are supppose to, so please.

It was bullying, what else would you call it, being nice! They have alwyas tried to throw their weight around, wake up and smell the coffee.
