heh - heh. All this denigrating of the president reflects your fear that he might actually be
re-elected.

It fascinates me that the O-haters think that a sitting President—carry a steady, mid-to-high-40's approval for rating month after month—is somehow going to be toppled by any bozo they run.

It shows a startling lack of knowledge about the electoral process.

I'm all for a "better" choice in 2012, honestly, but run the usual round of bible-thumpers, neocons, and former mayors and even the folks not thrilled with how the "hope and changed" turned out will be casting their vote for Obama again.

The liberal mindset in this country is the biggest problem today. Not one person from the left has been able to discuss and debate the actual points that the moderates and conservatives have made about the actions and policies of the current administration. They can't because they know that Barry Soetoro (a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama) is the single worst president in the history of the country and his policies have failed and are actually making things worse. Unemployment is just one example. So all the left can do is start name calling, which is exactly what has happened.

This is why the left only gets a brief bit of power and then the country snaps back to reality and votes in a moderate or conservative and just plain common sense.
The conservative mindset is what is destroying this nation, and a good lot of it began under Reagan, who will eventually be named one of the worst presidents of all time (give it another 50 years). They are willing to gut society in order to get a tax cut for the top 2% - greed has run rampant.

The thing is, they are finally starting to realize that society is being gutted, but the GOP has been quite adept at placing the blame on the left thus far (the UNIONS are stealing YOUR money! Get them! While you guys do that, we'll just be handing out these bags of money to our corporate friends). And who knows - perhaps they'll continue to be successful in that.

But when history looks back at this in 50 or 100 years, make no mistake - the conservative movement (the present one anyway, with its social ignorance and fake fiscal concern) will clearly be seen ad the downfall.

Anyway, back to Obama.

What exactly do you expect him to do in Japan, anyway? The navy is ALREADY there, for God's sake. He can't wave a magic wand and stop the meltdowns - the US has no secret technology that the Japanese don't already have.

In regards to the Middle East (Libya/Bahrain), he's in a really tough spot. Invading Libya is not an option, and Saudi supplies too much oil to the US to go against. You guys are already screaming that gas prices are too high.

And the simple fact is that you guys would be screaming no matter what he did because you really, truly, genuinely hate him. The reasons for that we'll leave to another thread.

really.

I read it on Free Republic.
Not if we drill here. Obama isn't even trying. He admits that he's okay with it. And if we had these magic powers, Obama would not have been president.

Academic historians rate 50 years as the period with which any historical figure can be viewed without bias.
Were you cutting history class the day they told the rest of us that useful fact?
