Police have no duty to "protect and serve". There only duty is to enforce the law after it has been broken by making arrests.

People get the law enforcement they elect at the state and municipal levels and thus what they deserve: sad but true.

This has been on the radio up here for the last 2 days. Today they said they now have the names of the people involved in destroying the form. We will see how it is handled.

What are you talking about. The law was broken already and police stood there and watched it happen. BTW, it IS the police's duty to Protect and Serve in this case. They serve the Constitution and protect people's civil lberties. A democratic action such as a recall effort falls under this, especially since a state law was broken right under their noses.

They have the obligation to protect people's civil liberties. They failed to do so in this case.
