Not unless you are being illegally detained.. Are you?

The Supreme court heard a case between Costco and Omega recently.. Care to tell me the national impact of a dispute between two private corporations?

They heard a tax case between CSX Transporation and the Alabama Dept of Revenue.. Again, whats the national impact of a private corporation and an inividual state?

EVERY case taken by the Supreme Court has national implications, including the plea by Ash croft for immunity, which was in defense against an ongoing case (Ash croft versus Al-Kidd).

PS. Why is Ash croft (as should be spelled) a "censored" word on C-D?

Obama asked for a continuance.

OMG, the Republic has fallen.

Run for the hills.

I saw him on C-Span. Not impressed. No one is arguing
the regulation of the private insurance industry.

Request for delay? Or, request against expediting and bypassing normal process?

Not currently. But tomorrow is another day.

Are you nuts? That was a very important business case dressing both the ability of companies to control their pricing and extending intellectual property rights in to a whole new area of commercial law.

It affects every single one of us.

Again... you have got to be out of your mind to ask that question. How industries get taxed and how exemptions are issued effect the price of everything you buy.

Again... it was a case of broad national importance.

It is March.

The delay would be only seven months.

Who said you have to be impressed? He's spelling out the law. The law is the law. Precedent is precedent. It doesn't care if you're impressed or not.

Congress has never forced every citizen to enter into a financial transaction/contract, with a Private Company, and levied an IRS fine for not doing so in our history. There is no precedent for a law such as this..

What precedent - the infamous wheat farmer
It's been used by the feds before - guess what, they lost
