"LANSING -- In their biggest show of force yet this year, about 3,000 union members and supporters are gathered at the Capitol today to protest anti-labor bills in the Legislature."It's beautiful," said Joe Bowen, a retired automotive worker who traveled to the rally from Saginaw. "It sends a message that it's not fair. They are trying to pinch unions."

it seems as if the private unions don't know the difference between the public and private ones.

-- Thanks for posting. We must stand up for democracy over plutocracy. Privatization would raise prices and reduce services. We must defeat the chest-beating oligarchs. They are LOUD but fewer in number - we outnumber them!

Government employees and bureaucrats are hardly the voice of "Freedom."

The taxpayers are the ones who need freedom from being taxed out of their homes thanks to selfish and greedy "public servants."

It's good to see real Americans from the middle class rising up to protect their self interests.

More along the lines of they are scared they'll have to pay their fair share of benefits like all non-union Americans and are only obeying the orders they received from their union bosses (demonstrating)

Just put yourself in a union persons shoes, now not only would they have to pay their fair share but also put up with the same non-existent pay raises non-union people get....

And have to actually work for a living and if they don't do a good job they'll get fired.....

~sniffle~ I feel sooooo sorry for these union people..... /not
