He should keep abreast of developments, but spending a few minutes with ESPN in the White House isn't going to prevent him from doing that. And, in fact, Obama ensured that the ESPN video will actually help the Japanese people in tangible ways.
Who wouldn`t want to ogle the Brazilian hotties instead of dealing with the devastation in Japan or the upheaval in the Middle East and North Africa?
Obama is exceedingly lucky that he doesn`t face any formidable Republican candidate in 2012. The best that the GOP can offer is the morally-challenged Newt Gingrich and the intellectually-challenged Sarah Palin. If it weren`t for the ridiculously weak opposition Obama would be destined to be a one-term president.
Obama is doing exactly what the right have been yelling about, "less government!" "less intrusion!" You'd think they would be praising him for not getting involved in other's issues.
As an Obama opposer, I dont expect him to FIX this or FIX that. What exactly is he suppose to do about Japan anyways?
What I do expect is for him to attempt to steer the ship towards the right direction, not All Ahead Full towards in many cases the wrong direction.
You are right though, I dont know if anyone knows what the heck his focus is right now. He certainly isnt sharing. Food prices just shot up the most since the seventies. The economy is still in bad shape. Gas prices going up. Etc etc etc
I dont give a damn really about his stupid NCAA picks. But I do care that while he has been absent from the Debt discussion or giving any "picks" on that, he makes time for the bracket. And just doesnt look good. When we have all this other crap going on, including a debt crisis that will destroy us and our future if we dont take it on head on, to keep mum about that yet have time to research teams and make picks just looks like you have **** poor priorities.
That being said, dont look for liberals to say much about it all. Remember, these are the same frauds who called for Bush's head day in and day out, yet when Obama comes along, breaks all sorts of promises and carries on to a worse extent of some of the things they hated Bush for, they stay silent. That goes for most of the liberals who come in this thread every day bashing conservatives. They completely ignore, dismiss, or defend anything Obama does, no matter that he lied to them.

Gee, if that were really the case, then you and your pals wouldnt be defending him. In fact, everything most liberals and the media beat up Bush for, in some cases Obama has continued on and to worse extents. Yet you stay silent. Hmmmm
And you're right. We do want less government, less intrusion. But dont be a smart ass. We want government to do its job as well. That means taking on the crisises we face head on. Like the debt. We want our President to be a leader or at least TRY to act like one.
This guy is a clown and a liar and the media continues to give him pass after pass. And we all know, if Bush had done much of what Obama has, (ie hiring lobbyists, tax cheats, lie after lie, continued the war, patriot act, etc, etc) the media would be out there every single day bashing him. Yet as predicted, they stay silent. He doesnt get called out much for really anything. Its like what I heard someone say today, they treat him like he is a mentally handicapped child. No matter how many idiotic things he does or says, no matter how many lies, they do their best to keep propping him up, like they feel sorry for him and want him to feel good about himself or something.

There is a difference between "Getting the federal government out of the lives of Americans" and Presidential Leadership.
Okay, this may be an age thing or a culture thing, but, for me, celebrating 50 years of Motown is showing leadership. Please explain how honoring something so distinctly American illustrates 'lack of focus.'
As for the trip to South America, it was planned long ago and is not solely for vacation. Are you suggesting that the President should ignore these vital relationships to what, sit at home and wring his hands?
"Focus" is not the only thing the POS President has none of, and it is killing the US and our allies.
