He was born in the United States, of course he's eligible.
Obama wrote that he found it among a box his mother had with several other papers. It's entirely likely that she moved it some more and at some point it got lost. Those things happen. That's why the states allow people to order certified copies.
The fact that somebody doesn't have or lost a document from 30 years ago that wasn't actually in their possession does not mean that anything is being hidden. Documents get lost sometimes - it doesn't mean that anything is being hidden.
As far as lost documents, I needed my original birth certificate when I moved to a new state and guess what?
Pa. had it.
No problem.
$17 dollars.
I had it in a week.
BTW....does obama even drive? Did he ever have a drivers license? Does he wear a helmet when he drives?

Pot meet kettle, It is OK for you to have doubts about offered info but anything the other way has to be the absolute truth and must be accepted.
Ignoring the bizarre accusation that I'm being somehow hypocritical (??), you conveeeeeniently ignored every question I posed as to how that alleged birth certificate may have been disposed. Nor does a link to a Google search results page come remotely close to providing a scanned page from the book. Yet another poster here who suffers from the "Someone Wrote It Down So It Must Be True" syndrome.

Every state has a different form of birth certificate. Obama posted the only birth certificate that one can get from Hawaii on his website. It's backed by multiple contemporary birth announcements, multiple statements from relevant Republican Hawaiian officials, State Department records from the 60s, and there's been no credible evidence to suggest anything on that birth certificate is false or forged.

In fairness, Obama did write that down in his book.
It's on page 26. Apparently Truegrit lives in a world where nobody ever loses anything that they saw once 30 years ago ever though, because that's the only reason having a recent certified copy of his birth certificate posted on his website would be remotely suspicious.
