It's not a slip of the tongue. "Home country" is a euphemism that many well-read people would use to refer to the country of someone's ancestors. My grandfather was from Ireland, and he referred to Ireland as the home country, and so did his children, all born in the United States.
Exactly, go to Howard Beach Queens (uber Republican btw) and ask people what their home country is. I would bet anything most would say Italy even if they never stepped foot in Italy themselves.
That's true, BUT shouldn't this matter be put to bed with solid proof, which would be so easy to do. Then you, me, and all the other millions of Americans (that might have a lot of doubt, or just a tiny bit of doubt) would know for absolutely sure.
The state certified birth certificate is solid proof....
The first thing a President Trump would do to balance the budget and pay down the deficit, like the history of his way of doing business, is file bankrupt on all our debt.
Do a little reseach and you will find Obama grandma, three time removed and not his blood relative, did not say he was born in Kenya. Other relatives did say he was born in Hawaii.

The Hawaii COLB may be legit, but that does not mean it was issued accurately...nor to proclaim the person's name on the COLB was born in Hawaii. It's been proved that many people have a Hawaii COLB that were born in another country. Just because Hawaii issued a COLB does not get to the bottom of what the questions are surrounding Obama's birth place and his eligibility to be POTUS. The LONG-FORM birth certificate information would.
But as has been referenced already, Hawaii law does not allow for a copy of the long form to be provided to anyone, even the person whose birth it records. Are you suggesting that the president is above the law and should receive special treatment?
Let's don't be silly. The POTUS could ask for (and receive) a copy of his LONG-FORM birth certificate without any problem with the law. He's a man that has no regard for our Constitution...so why does he give a poop for a little state law?

wouldn't the COLB list the same place of birth as the long-form?
