Is being a Birther on City Data like shift work? I ask because every so often we get a new shift of Birthers arguing the same worn out arguments as the previous shift. Nothing new, noting novel just the same old descending list of objections, first the birth certificate non-controversy, then the dual citizenship argument, which moves on to the rehash of the meaning of natural born, finally to the going to Indonesia change of citizenship nonsense. Once we've dispensed with those arguments, we get in a whole new crew and we start the process all over again.

Tim Adams is lying through his teeth.

yeah it doesn't matter because they KNOWINGLY PUBLISH lies:

Right-wing publisher: We run "some misinformation" - War Room - Salon.com

And they are known to "scrub" articles when people who are more credible, point out the flaws (case in point CAshill's article on the "fake" Obama photograph)

As long as the stories meet their propaganda agenda, they'll publish stories written by the Tooth Fairy if she wrote that 9/11 was an Inside job and that Obama was born in Kenya.

Don't ask me where that law is, it's not up to me to prove anything - it's up to Obama to prove he is worthy of the status bestowed upon him by people like you.
YOU are citing a law and regulation that waS FOR infants BORN OVERSEAS!!

Why do you lie? That stipulation (back then, its not the CURRENT law) was for those born ABROAD to US Citizens

A natural born citizen has 2 parents with American citizenship, dada was Kenyan, meaning dual allegiance, which is not what we want in a President of the United States, but that's what we've got.
Not supported by 200 years of case law or even the US Constitution.

WRONG. A natural born citizen just needs to be born on US Soil to a parent that is not an AMBASSADOR or an enemy combatant on US Soil.

Citizen of the parent has no bearing on the citizen of the child when born on US SOIL.

However, In 2012, the required standard of proof will be much higher. Push will come to shove.

It is common knowledge (if you are even partially-aware of this issue) that he spent $2M. Go educate yourself and then back.
There is no more required state of proof higher than a state certified birth certificate. That is the highest any proof can go....

As far as the $2 million, EVERY President spends on legal fees. The idea that all of his legal fees are birther related is probably even stupider than most of the arguments given by the birthers.

Now to answer the question of the OP. Barack is his given name, he went by the nickname of Barry as a youngster and after he was an adult went back to his given name. Much like how someone born with the name of James might go by Jimmy as a kid, and then when he gets older goes back to James.

Here's an interesting birther article...Romney to Trump: Obama Doesn't Need a Birth Certificate. It talks about the research they did when Mitt Romney's father ran for U.S. president in the 1960s and he was born in Mexico.

Ah, I think the more pertinent question is the following;
If Barack was adopted by Lolo Soetoro in Indonesia, doesn't that make him an Indonesian? Fransiskus Assisi School In Jakarta, Indonesia clearly shows that he was registered under the name ‘Barry Soetoro’ and his citizenship listed as Indonesian Can we view the adoption papers please?
Also, I'd like to know when he changed his name back to Barack Hussein Obama, can we see those papers, please.
The Indonesian school registry also lists him as muslim, so when did he convert to Christianity? How does that sit with the Imams?
Inquiring minds want to know who this man is that is destroying our country.
Who is Barry Soetoro?

Good grief, to think I used to like Romney. His father had 2 parents that were U.S. citizens. They had not relinquished their citizenship, nor were duel citizens - not a problem and not relevant to Obama's situation.
Obama doesn't need a birth certificate - what a stupid thing to say!
