And Hawaii did NOT destroy any of those original records.
But now, and after a few "seeing" Obama's original long form, the one Hawaii issued in 1961, they can't find it. How many others were issued, from a long form, in 2008 and then, lost?
Nobody said it couldn't be found. They said it was not going to be released. You birthers would just call it a forgery anyway, so what's the big deal?
Then you should move to Hawaii and petition the state government to change their laws, because Hawaii has the right under the Tenth Amendment to design their birth certificates as they see fit. They meet federal requirements for passports, and that's it.

Here's the problem with your "prima facia" evidence. THERE IS NONE! He's too old and there is too much secrecy, that Obama placed on his records, for the COLB to stand alone as prima facia evidence. It would NEVER hold up as the smoking gun.
In the end I suspect that Obama should just relase it but he thinks it drives his base. That is also why trump is bring it up because it drive what he hope to gain as a base added to what other he has. I the end its really a minor distraction that will allow the more serious candidates get on witht eh gainig of the real numbers needed. Its always about the indepedents which the Tea Party now seems to drive by its agneda and Obama and trump are losing on thier issues and policies.Traump may in fact be help other repuvblicans really.But then again he has liitle nationwide appeal anyway.

All of the LEGAL records were transfered to digital and computerized in 2000/2001. The COLB is the LEGAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE in Hawaii.

No one is asking to see his ILLEGAL birth certificate.
State legislatures are drafting laws requiring presidential candidates to provide copies of original birth certificates to qualify for ballot status.
This in no way discriminates per the 14th Amendment.
