Seems you have a mind predisposed against them already.
Just because someone makes a claim when charged with murder that he was told to kill someone while praying does not prove, one way or another, that he was a professing Christian. Neither is there any corroboration to the claim of sexual advances from the 70 year old victim. Sounds more to me like he is trying to set himself up for an insanity plea, especially given that he was the Executor of the murdered man's will.
Nevertheless, this certainly won't stop the usual crowd from making assumptions and taking cheap shots at Christianity and "christers".

"Hate the sin but love the sinner" is not found anywhere in the Bible or as a saying attributed to Christ. It's a fairly recent church "slogan"- often used as a convenient excuse to condemn gay people while superficially "appearing" to follow Christ's main teaching of "love one another".
It is not a church slogan, it is a Ghandi quote. But of course the Bible also teaches the same.
This loser is using Christianity as a scapegoat and, I'm willing to bet, many other loons do the same in an attempt to get off on an insanity plea. I'd be willing to bet that he received no such "revelation".
Please don't use this incident to characterize Christianity. Doing so makes you also take on the appearance of a loon.
