Obama Looking For Ways Around Congress On Gun Policy

What do you think? Is Obama gonna try an end around Congress again by executive fiat to tighten up gun laws that don't work, even further?

He has nominated an avowed gun banner
as the new head of BATF.

If existing gun laws were enforced,
no further restrictions would be needed.

Why would this be new news

Criminals supporting Criminals

It all boils down to two facts that gun control proponents
have not been able to address:

(1) There is a direct relationship between restrictive gun control laws and increased crime. Almost all gun control laws have been statistically proven to be linked to increases in crime.

(2) Criminals by definition do not obey the law. Using a firearm to harm another is already illegal.
Proponents might want to spend more time thinking about the facts, and less time writing about feelings that won't fix the problem.

Don't forget the 30+ 'czars' who are all causing various kinds of havoc & mayhem without being screened or confirmed by the Senate.

Talk about a guy who acts as if he's above the law....

Straight outta 'Tricky Dick's' playbook, isn't it?

Obama has tried to circumvent Congress throughout his administration. There is no reason to believe more gun banning/harsher restrictions against the 2nd Amendment would not be among them.

Tricky Dick was a school ground novice compared to the BS Obama is pulling.

He pulls some crap like that and he'll have NO chance of being re-elected. He might as well hand the keys to the oval office over as soon as he does it.

Agreed.

He sure has.

Where the heck are all the libs who whined for 8 years when Bush tried anything?

Now their boy wonder is trying to sneak his way around congress and truly believes he has the supreme power to just make up his own laws.

For any Presidunce ( who is suppose to be a constitutional scholar ) like him to sign a bill into law like the HC bill knowing it was illegal from the beginning should tell people exactly what this fraud is up to.

Now we all know why he went back to college to get a degree with the knowledge of the constitution. It was not to learn it, it was to know how to destroy it and work around it to get our rights taken away from us.

I certainly hope he doesn't get elected. I don't know what is with the liberal obsession with banning guns, especially when they don't even know the parts of a gun (Ms. Barrel Shroud D-NY)

Oh yes. He's definitely one of the most radical lefties elected to the presidency. Unfortunately, it's a loophole that's in the Constitution. If you can't get the laws passed you want in Congress, use the federal bureaucracy to make rules that everyone has to follow, like, for example, this one and the EPA putting CO2 under the Clean Air Act. Another reason why most federal bureaucracies MUST be defunded. If it's NOT in the Constitution, it does NOT belong there and therefore, a state responsibility.

Same goes for people that want tougher prison sentences for criminals. What does a criminal care if he's gonna be in prison for longer for the same crime? if a person has nothing to lose in life, they're gonna commit crimes no matter the sentence. Plus, we can see that in Canada as well, gun crime in on the rise despite having much more punitive laws than the U.S. does, including registration of ALL firearms in a federal database. A country like the U.K., with very restrictive laws, still has criminals shooting each other dead with firearms that are banned. How is this possible? Gun laws don't work.

Actually, gun laws do work in that they only work on law abiding people just look at Mexico as an extreme example. They have very very restrictive gun laws, and yet that country is awash in them
