We should act because it's the right thing to do and expect NOTHING in return.
Come to the aid of people? Like in the US as well?

That sounds like socialism

Because Americans have come to expect the USA to be involved and 'do something' the idea of being concerned but not getting involved is foreign to them.

This is true. If only that was the real reason for being over there. How come we didn't go into Rwanda when there was a mass genocide of 800,000 people? How come we don't help Mexico who is on our OWN CONTINENT? Hmm, perhaps maybe because those countries have nothing to offer in the way of resources.

Why would military service be a prerequisite?
Don't you have the Joint Chiefs of Staff to support you?

Warmongers shouldn't be eligible for president, IMO.
And cowards shouldn't be citizens. Are you Dan Blather? It seems your boy is quite the war monger, perhaps he'll send Mooochelle?

Did you oppose American action against Nazi Germany, Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, Somalia, Rawanda, Balkins?

The Libyan "opposition" is AL Queda. They WANT this so they can install Sharia Law. Obama is supporting terrorism.
