Smart or dumb the two-party system we're saddled with gives little choice, both sides sold their souls to special interests long ago. I truly believe the two-party system will be the death of America, it's so deeply entreched the chances of change aren't all that great.
Absolutely. What I refer to as the Incumbent Party (or Establishment Party) that is in essence only two wings of the same Party, Democrat and Republican. The choice is an illusion, as I watched "No new nation building" and "Humble foreign policy" Bush turn into a nation building crusader. Just as today, the mild mannered formerly anti-war law professor alleged socialist cush-muffin turned out to be a slightly darker version of Bush.
What were the alternatives in 04, John 'I don't really want to be President' Kerry with all the charisma of Lyme disease or the 08 version of John '100 year war, meet Sarah' McCain? Surely people notice that each election cycle we are presented with this constant notion of 'the lesser of evils', when we compare a quasi-Ok candidate that is somewhat palatable with one that is absolutely bat chit insane or droll?
Your hatred of President Obama has no bounds. Where did it manifest? After reading some of your prolific posts, I'm curious: Did you support Bush, who had zero reason to attack Iraq? Did you support Bush's decision to completely ignore the UN investigators when they asked for more time to continue and search for WMD?
Do you consider yourself a patriot or anti-American?
Instead of focusing on people you suspect of being pro-Bush (I never heard Oz speak kindly about Bush before), maybe you ought to concentrate on keeping the libs from dropping their support for Obama's re-election.

Are you getting worried over the mounting criticism of your President?
Also, you forgot to call me a racist, getting a little sloppy, you may need to reread the leftist handbook again.
LOL...thanks for the last sentence in your post,it is almost to the point of 'America, love it or leave it'.....

What of those on the left who DO support the newest war because THEIR guy started it?
DO you hold them to the same standard?
UN action is far different than a full scale invasion/occupation
and comparing the two is apples and oranges.
I don't support it because I believe the UN is an ineffective body and throwing $$$ at it a total waste. My preferred mid-east policy would be very simple. Every country in the region would be told they have a very simple choice, they can either learn to live together or they can die together. If they mess with the US they will be vaporized.

Until voters stop looking at elections as a competition and stop being worried about having the 'losing team' we will continue to have the same old crap.

I think I've actually been able to vote for a Presidential candidate once in my life, when McGovern was the D candidate, every other time it's been the 'lesser evil' choice.

The unprovoked bombing of another nation that is of no possible threat to the USA because of a UN resolution is somehow justified??

I would go with the simple policy of friendly with all nations allies with none.

And it can be killed how?
By CHOOSING to vote for another party....but as Americans absolutely HATE to back a loser and would rather support a team they don't like we have the current crap.

So basically you only voted once in your life for president.
