The National Republican Senatorial Committee just revealed a new video capitalizing on McCaskill's past statement where she said, "If my walk doesn't match my talk, shame on me and don't ever vote for me again."
McCaskill's confession prompted Republicans to point out that she is co-sponsoring a bill with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla), which would require federal employees stay current on their taxes, and has also sought to add new rules for government-paid foreign travel undertaken by members of Congress.
Oh, those rich, democrat tax evaders, thinking they can get away with stuff like this.
Claire's pilot to St. Louis Airport might sound something like this: Lambert Tower, this is Tax Evader One, we are on final approach, request permission to land.
“Can Missouri voters even believe anything Senator McCaskill says anymore? This is the third time in less than two weeks that she’s had to change her story about her private plane, and she only admitted any of her wrongdoing once she got caught by the media. Now, millionaire Claire McCaskill wants to simply write yet another big check and hope people won’t ask any more questions. It’s high time for McCaskill to finally live up to the same standards of transparency and accountability that she demands of others by immediately releasing her shell company tax records.”
It isn't real clear to me what exactly she did wrong, other than not having her plane registered right for taxes.
Not paying taxes = crime. Try it sometime with your income. Just "forget" to pay taxes on your house, car, or heck your income. I am sure the IRS will be very forgiving.
So in addition to using tax payer money to pay for political trips on a plan that she partially owns she also didn't pay the taxes on the money they made from that plane. What a piece of work she is, sounds like a perfect fit for the Obama White House.
What's nauseating about this is that her "contrition" is actually an insult to voters' intelligence. Does anyone really believe this was a "mistake?" That she would try to pass it off as such says that she thinks we're stupid.
Vote her out.
