List? What list? They don't need no stinkin' list. He's an evil Fascist/Communist/Socialist who was not raised with American values and is therefore intentionally trying to destroy America. Isn't that enough? Duh!

Compare that in both scope and import, to what the Republicans accomplished over a period of six years of control of both houses and the Presidency. There simply is no comparison. Ah, so you're a single-issue voter. That's too bad, since you aren't going to get anywhere near what you want from Republicans, and a second term for President Obama will allow him the "breathing room" to start tackling some of the bigger issues instead of mostly having to bail water from this sinking ship. I hope you'll come to reconsider.
I can't rep you again darn it. I love ths post. The President is moving constantly trying to make this country a better place.

maybe not, but I am certain the GOP set a record for filibusters during the same time. 94 bills in the face of that is great.

I'm an Independent voter. I'm looking for an alternative. Do you care to propose a viable alternative to Obama in 2012?

As of this moment, I cannot vote GOP in 2012 because the GOP HAS NOT changed one bit.

EXAMPLE: What has the Republican-controlled House of Representatives done in the past 2 months? Well, it has introduced legislation, passed resolutions, or conducted hearings regarding the following:
a) curtailing abortion,
b) defunding Planned Parenthood (like we need more welfare mothers),
c) defunding NPR,
d) bringing back "don't ask, don't tell",
e) reaffirming the "In God we trust" motto,
f) declaring English as America's official language,
g) investigating American muslims,
h) supporting the "Defense of Marriage Act" (DOMA).

This independent voter doesn't care about ANY of the above "issues". It's a complete waste of fresh air. I don't even want to hear about it. None of these issues have any positive impact on the economy.

If the GOP is so concerned about marriage, they ought to do something to create jobs in America so that less married couples end in divorce court when overwhelmed by financial difficulties.

I am "hoping" the GOP will "change", but it doesn't look like it will, does it?
So true. The GOP and Tea Partyers focus too much on social issues. I am a moderate independent. This independent voter cares nothing about that either. None of that is important to the recovery of our country's economy.

Also agree here. I don't agree with everything that he has done but he has not ruined the country like so many people on here seem to believe. I see nothing evil about him, I am not maniacal about seeing more and more copies of his birth certificate and really don't understand how so many people view the president as a failure. But of course it is just politics and people will believe what they must.

I don't see anyone on the other side or any other party as worthy of getting a vote for me, so I would for for Pres Obama again unless someone comes out totally different from all the popular proposed candidates that are currently being touted as being in contention. I don't see how any of them can beat Obama.

I know you get all your news from that faux news network that used rhetorical questions in their graphics to push GOP talking points that don't have enough substance to be said with a straight face. I would hope you knew that the questions I posed didn't convey my beliefs, Don't mischaracterize my words like that, even if it is in jest.

for example: "Is Jill61 A Lesbian? News at 11:00..."

He has failed at being any different than all before him. He has broken more promises that all before him. He is a rookie at a time when we need leadership. Enough said.

Casper, I think it is a matter of him not doing things the way Koch Brothers, Fox, Beck and Rush would want him to do things. Not that he failed at anything, just that anything not in the GOP playbook is a failure in their eyes.

I am always amused at how the right can constantly attack the left for anything and everything and completely overlooks their own prez's inability to speak or a Palin or Backman getting the facts wrong.

GOP = being right even when they are wrong.

Notice how Soccer cannot even invent any specifics... Empty words, like "we want our country back" and "drill baby drill"....

You people are living in a dream world. obama is a complete absolute failure in ever step and every breath he takes. The rest of the world, including most of this country, has him figured out and he is a laughing stock, yet you continue to praise him. You must feel very foolish. If you don't, you should...!!!

yet another that cannot cite and articulate any specifics. Easy to make a broad statement like obama is bad, but you are not saying how he is bad.

try again...

Well, I guess it is if your yardstick is money spent and freedoms restricted and if you measure success by the growth in government power, then you are correct. It's quite an accomplishment.

But I would be surprised if 94 laws is anywhere near a record.
First, those aren't all the things Congress passed, just the ones I compiled that I felt were of the most import and/or significant. Second, they're not all laws, the bottom of my list is a few treaties, as well.

But most significantly, this should be compared not to just any old congress during any 2 year period, but specifically to any 2 year period of the Bush Administration when Republicans also controlled both houses of congress. Ninety-four downright drowns what Republicans accomplished.

And don't even dream of going there with the "money spent and freedoms restricted" crap, when it was Bush who created TARP and Bush and the Republicans who gave us the freaking Patriot Act.
