Rampant Welfare. SMH....Amazing how people can turn a fairly complicated issue into something as simple as a social program.

To a lesser extent. I can't speak for Detroit but in Milwaukee, the inner city area is completely blighted and there are abandoned houses everywhere you look. You don't see that in the burbs.

Which whites are moving out to the burbs?
What do you mean "which whites"?

Before we moved to Milwaukee, we considered moving to Detroit. The statistics scared me away from that area. Don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, anybody can look up statistics and see the big picture on what is going on there.

If the Mexicans don't mind the cold and snowy weather, they all need to move to Detroit, and develop it like the Cubans did to Miami.

Detroit needs a renaissance.

Cubans and Mexicans are not the same. The Cubans we received since the 60s were the smart, enterprising ones. While the Mexicans we get are the poor, illiterate ones with no skills other than stealing jobs and welfare

Mexicans are resourceful and industrious.

They are very enterprising business people.

It won't be long before a slice of Mexicana comes to Detroit.

And they should be welcomed with open arms in the same way that Miami did for the Cubans.

And there wasn't a Cuban empire in Miami until the 80's when the drug money rolled through and built that city. Before 1982, Miami was where old folks went to retire.

People of Detroit didn't want to work for 3rd world wages. What was the conservative/corporate response...outsource.

Detroit, like many midwest cities, simply waited too long to join the race to the bottom to see who could be the most underpaid by corporate America. They thought people of this country would think its right to pay the true cost and liveable wages for the products they buy. They thought wrong.

I mean WHICH WHITES?

There hasn't been a significant white population of any note in that city in well over 35 years. So who are these white people that are moving out?
