New census milestone: Hispanics to hit 50 million - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110324/ap_on_re_us/us_census2010_population - broken link)
SIMPLY AMAZING that NO where does it even mention the amount of said Hispanic's who may be illegals. Could Yahoo News be more biased???

Since the census doesn't ask for legal status then it may be a little difficult to know exactly how many are in the U.S illegally. Also with this since we can assume that large numbers of hispanics are in the U.S illegally this makes that 50 million number kinda shaky since many of them could be deported at various times affecting their numbers.

but why couldnt that have been mentioned is the blatanly biased article??
Besides a language, what do Hispanics have in common that makes this profound?
I think they should separate the groups, however. Give us the stats for Mexicans on one hand, and the stats for all the other types of Hispanics on the other. Mexicans are developing their own little Spanish version of Quebec in the SW USA, and rarely have anything in common with other "Hispanic" peoples.

^ well the thing is Americans think "Taco Bell" is actually Mexican food! By the way hispanics have great Cuisine. What is funny is that people think all hispanics are some monolithic group! Outside of our Spanish language I have nothing in common with a barrio kid in Texas or California!

It is funny that Americans actually think that Taco Bell serves "food".
