But why do urban centers and metropolitan areas create the most economic outputs in the country? They also have lower unemployment than sprawled cities do.

Major US cities are socialist.

There is generally a large number of recipient class people that depend on the city government (tax payers) to take responsibility for their needs.

Cities cannot be Socialist, the Mayor and political additude/policies can and more often than not are Socialist. Areas do not produce economic output, private businesses in areas do.

That is not true, we say those wanting their hands in the treasury or other people's wallets are socialists.
