I am really baffled why some seem to want to promote corporate interests at the expense of the interests of the average citizen.

Can someone give me an example where cutting corporate taxes has led to that corporation creating jobs? So far cutting corporate taxes seems to mean higher share prices an dividends for shareholders.

Yes, business creates jobs-- But business creates jobs based on demand for their products or services. They don't create jobs because they have/ had a lower tax rate.

The middle class is hurting. Don't we do best by the middle class by closing the loopholes that allow many companies to pay little to no taxes rather than easing their tax burden further at the expense of the middle class.

Here's a news flash: the customers of a going concern pay 100% of the costs of that business; all the costs are in the price of the goods produced or service provided.

Example: if there was a 100% tax on the kids that mow your lawn, the job would cost you $40 instead of $20.

So your basic class-warfare premise is incorrect.

Sorry to burst your bubble, by you are paying corporate income taxes every time you by a product. So that hamburger you bought last week included corporate income taxes for McDonalds or Sonic, etc.

If you raise their taxes, you raise the price you pay for hamburgers.

They do create jobs!! Except the jobs created are NOT in this country... cutting taxes for companies that offshore jobs, is not a smart thing to do... Look at Obama's best friend, the CEO of GE... GE pays ZERO percent taxes for the last two years Obama has been president... He is also the leader in many of Obama's committee... hmm.... something fishy going on?

Corporations = Employers

Tax employers more and it becomes a trickle down tax on YOU.

It is alright for people and companies to make profit. If it is a company there could easily be stock on it that investors also pay tax on when they sell stock they bought.

There has to be wealth in order to create a job in most cases.
If not for the somewhat well off small business owner or the wealthier bigger companies/corporations there would be no work at all.

If they leave the country, whose fault would that be?
That would only happen if the working enviornent for that company sucked in this country.
We have lawsuits out our ears.
Regulations all over the place.
Taxes among the highest in the world on businesses.
Bad business laws.

PS most Corporations like GE wouldn't be paying taxes because they usually zero out with payroll (which pays payroll taxes), operational costs (which includes all kinds of taxes and people paid to make them go which is also taxed). Then they pay dividend on stock and their stocks generate profits whcih are taxed as well.
Don't get tax happy. Put a tax on them and they pass it down to YOU!
