Did you pay any attention to the link. It reported that some of the others have gone after employers.

Of course you know that the Immigration Act of 1986 requires that each employer who is found with illegals can be charged $10,000 per head, don't you. When the federal government won't enforce its own laws then someone has to do it. These states are saying that they will enforce federal law if the feds won't.

You did read some of the link, I am sure.

Go to either of the large packing plants in Dodge City, Ks and start yelling that ICE is at the gate and watch what happens.

You can do the same thing in Liberal, Ks. and there are two in Garden City, Ks.

Problem is, they AREN'T going after the employers! If they did, this nonsense would come to a stop. The states have no more interest in stopping it than the feds do at the employer level. State politicians take money from big biz just like their federal counterparts...and they like their cheap workforce.

The real problem is that the 1986 law was done for amnesty alone and all that crap about gaining control of illegal entry was put in there to fool the side that was against the amnesty. My problem has been the refusal of the federal government to enforce that law the whole time.

Actually they are trying very hard to get another amnesty law before any kind of stopping of illegal entry.

You are sure right about that. However, now and then ICE does come around and the places empty out.
