How about we get the economic recovery first, then pass out the kudos. BTW, that video from 23 years ago has what connection to the current situation?
Wow. I didn't realize it was from 1988.
Yes, the same problem existed even them. The government was burning money like crazy, and Reagan actually tripeled the national debt back then. Nothing has changed, although there were people like Ron Paul who knew about the problem all along.
Our area (Boston metropolitan, southern NH) is considered to be one of the economically healthiest in the nation.
And with over 30 years in the workforce (even though not yet affected by layoffs), I'd give this economy a D-. And this is only because I expect it to continue to get worse.
I really don't thnik anyone wants credit for this recovery really especailly the unemployemnt lagging so badly and future with debt builtup for little results.I woud bet we will suffer for deacdes because of the debt and with the liabilty compnies will not be hirig at any great rates.
We are heading into a double dip recession and I give that credit to the democrats who have been in control for the last 4 years and total control for the last 2 years.
As long as the housing market is in the tank in large parts of the country, our Counterfeiter-In-Chief continues to print funny money which contributes mightily to skyrocketing gasoline prices, and the actual unemployment rate continues to hover in the high teens, anybody who uses the term 'economic recovery' should be ignored.
