Sounds pretty fascist to me. What's with this "stopping" nonsense? I seem to remember it is the right of Americans to gather and voice their opinion?
The tone from this "Gathering of Eagles" sounds pretty un-American to me. Remember the old saying, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend your right to do so?"... not...."I disagree with what you say and will stop you as you try to say it..."
And wrapping your organization in this "Patriotism" blanket is pretty weak play on people's emotion and minds. But then again, I would imagine the people signing up of for this "Eagles" nonsense would probably be on the lower end of the intelligence scale... so, whatever - have at them.

I wanted to attend the one in Charlotte this month, but was unable to go. From what I hear she didn’t show up. Cindy Sheehan “was” a puppet of the left and has been discarded like a used “fill in the blank”.
That would not be my approach, but the complaints above seem to be about behaviors that protesters on the left use frequently - such as yelling over someone who was invited to speak at a conference or forum to the point where the person leaves the stage. That's unfair to the person as well as to the people in attendance that want to hear the speaker. This seems to be just people that want to yell back and forth at each other. Sheehan wants to be able to say outrageous things without being challenged. The challenger has the same right as she does.

I agree that everyone has a right to be heard. Since we can't see into the future saying the war is right or wrong is a subjective opinion. I believe we're on the wrong track because I don't believe this war will be of long term benefit to the US. If someone wants to call me anti-American for that I salute them......................with one finger
Simply stated I support the men and women in uniform serving around the globe. Those troops who are in harms way will forever have my support. Their mission will have my support. Nothing is more disheartening than to feel alone and isolated. I was in Viet Nam and felt the full effects of a lack of support for us and our mission. History has shown that we did not prosecute that conflict as efficiently as we might have. Nonetheless, it is sinful how we were treated and most horrendous for the longest time ignored. Only those who have served would truly understand what Gathering of Eagles represents. If Cindy Sheehan can "Raise Consciousness" for her cause then so can Gathering of Eagles for theirs.
What I find most disturbing is the constant reference to someones intelligence or lack of by those opposed to Organizations such as Gathering of Eagles. The same people who would point out a misspelling in a photograph (THE TRUE MORONS) would not in a million years criticize a Black Man for butchering a sentence or destroying the english language( Ebonics). Quite frankly people such as these are cowards.
I feel we have had enough of the "Yeah but I support the troops though" crap. Those that would have us dead ( read Al Queda and their ilk) gain encouragement and strength from our tap dancing.. Support the troops... support their mission. Learn from mistakes made ( yes there are mistakes being made) and do everything to prevent making the same mistakes. Please don't let our troops in the field down!!!!!

I think your point about not thinking the war will be a long-term benefit is a perfectly valid opinion and when expressed that way, I can't see why anyone would call it anti-American.
I agree that attacks on the person are not helpful. That tactic is done by both sides though. I might consider some people as anti-American that say our soldiers are murderers etc., but your perspective is fine with me.

Cindy Sheehan said that the police sided with Gathering of Eagles. GOE were louder and had more people. Cindy wanted the police to stop Gathering of Eagles from cheering for our troops. It was not fair to her fellow protestors who could not be heard.
