“We’ve been conveying a message to the rebels that we will be compelled to defend civilians, whether pro-Qaddafi or pro-opposition,” said a senior Obama administration official. “We are working very hard behind the scenes with the rebels so we don’t confront a situation where we face a decision to strike the rebels to defend civilians.”
There is NO WAY they can protect civilians without boots on the ground.
In other parts of the world there are rebels battling government forces with both creating misery and death on civilians like in other African nations and Burma yet I don't see France or England or the U.S.A worrying too much about it.

How did we stir it up? Gadaffi was killing people left and right, so it is somewhat unfair to blame US for the deaths.
Who's side are you on, USA, or NATO/UN. Seems you have picked UN.
Was he? Now that we are finding out a little about the "rebels", maybe he wasn't actually killing civilians. His forces were fighting rebel forces, who were getting their butts kicked apparently.
Gosh, it all seems so familiar, except for the Left's responses.
Yes,they are the US Army chocolate chip camo used back in GWI I do believe.
