I cared then and I care now.
I just don't think the time to cut spending was in the midst of the most severe recession in the better part of a century.

You don't worry about your water bill when you've got grass fire going on that can burn down your whole house. You grab your hose and spray.

Who cares about dollar figures...if you want to demonstrate year over year increases, show us percentages. Dollar figures don't tell the whole story.

Or can you show me a post of your from back then when you complained about the deficit?
I get a bigger kick out of Democrats who had to dipslay their lack of understanding on who spends, by complaining about Deficits in 2008, but now you sit here and still complain about Deficits in 2008.. NEWS FLASH ITS NOT 2008 ANYMORE.. Someone buy a calendar..

Deficits would increase due to INCREASED spending.. How about if they just STOP increasing the spending?

it Was Bush that signed the budgets, don't recall that veto, DO YOU? You might want to check, I believe Bush's budget request was about the same as the bill congress sent him. Of course Bush's budgets didn't include Bush's wars and his multiple wall street bailouts...

You might want to check because most of the deficit spending isnt in the budget..

Btw, since when did we start breaking down deficits by the month? Its pretty sad that people have to go through such steps to try to ignore the current deficits, as if to almost justify they arent as bad as they are..

If it is not about 2008, or any part of Bush's deficits, his policy failures, wars or any part of his presidency, then stop complaining about the current debt. Over $6 Trillion dollars of the current National Debt BELONGS to Bush.
