We have $3.55 trillion in expenditures, here is what I cut:

-DoD Overseas Contingency Operations (that means bring the troops home): $130 billion

-Abolish Dept of Education: $46.7 billion

-Abolish Corporation for National and Community Service: $1.1 billion

-Random Department of Defense Cuts: $100 billion

-Abolish Dept of Health and Human Services EXCEPT for FDA: $75 billion (FDA gets $4 billion/year still)

-Abolish Department of Homeland security: $42.7 billion

-Department of Commerce/Labor merger: $15 billion

-Abolish HUD: $47.5 billion

Wow that's $458 billion so that's like 1/2 of the deficit. We really do have a problem

Here's the problem - your premise is wrong. We don't HAVE to have $3.55 Trillion in expenditures.

About $1 Trillion out of 2.5 trillion in revenues comes from the individual income tax. Could you please show me the math where the Bush tax cuts are going to essentially double our income tax revenue? 900 billion seems high

You're assumption is we have a revenue problem, that would be false because we have a spending problem.

This is one of the dumbest conservative talking points that I have ever seen repeated over and over and over again.

To be fair the savings would be realized over 2 years as opposed to 1.

We have both. Bush cut taxes and then started a massive spending regime. Obama has unfortunately continued both, though his spending has different priorities.
