yes, if EVERYONE is working under the same rules, paying the same amount toward taxes, the markets would seek equilibrium and prices would rise and fall based on market forces and not "subsidies" and manipulations by the government.

Very.
Problem is, this 50% tax rate of your doesn't exist. the EFFECTIVE tax rates are much lower than you'd imagine. See my link in other post.

I said the price of the product.

means. Study some macro economics. That is a simplified description of the price of products in a free market.

What a radical idea, people who pay for a service get it, those who don't pay for it, don't get it. I wonder if police response time would improve for those who pay for the service compared to what it is now? I bet it would.
