"Support the troops" means put a bumper sticker on your car, wave the flag and abandon them when they come home crippled for life. It means spare no expense getting them butchered, slaughtered and maimed but nickel & dime them to death when they become physically and mentally traumatized. Truly the epitome of American hypocrisy. What a disgrace.

You see them here and there, usually in countries where they can afford to live, barely—Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico. They are the Pentagon’s throwaways. There is the old guy, old now anyway, who took several rounds in one of our previous pointless wars, one in Asia, and ended in constant irremediable pain.

We support our troops by not deserting them when they return home from Wars.

That's my point. We basically do desert them by not giving them the care they need and deserve. Maybe they're considered "entitlements" which we can't afford. It's a national disgrace.

If we actually knew how to fight and win, we would be done by now.

They CHOOSE to defend our country in spite of the dangers you mentioned.

THEY ARE HEROES and should be treated as such.

Deserting them? Most of them want to be left the hell alone anyway to continue their lives.
