Black people have been helping to keep this nation free since it's inception....even when we weren't free ourselves. In fact, we were helping to keep that place you come from (originally) free too...even when we weren't fully free ourselves in THIS country.

So excuse me, but it's not your place to say who "cares" about a nation that you just walked into without the benefit of any sacrifice on your part to make it what is presently is. Before you hopped your ass off of that airplane, black folks were "caring" for this country. The headstones, graves, and memorials are testament to that.

I sure as hell hope that you'd never say anything like this to a black person face to face. Unreal. This is chin-check stuff. Where in the hell were you when i was "caring" for this country during my Army service?

Again...i don't know what this all has to do with the topic at hand, but if President Obama doesn't want to be identified as anything else but an African American, then that's his business. In America, we're free to identify ourselves as anything we please within reason. I'm still trying to figure out when WANTING to be a black man became a crime?

This has been illuminating to see that the problem lies with black people,no matter how much they deny it.
But they are not white first and Americans second. Whites are John, Kate, Sarah, Thomas, and Michael first before they are white. For blacks it is the exact opposite, we are black before we are Shaun, Brianna, Juan, and Gale. You need look no further than the threads on this forum for proof of that. And the fact that you cannot grasp onto the position that this dilemma throws blacks into, is why these conversations quickly deteriorate into wars of words in which we are told to "stop using race as a crutch".

Those who view others through the lenses of bigotry do possess the intellectual honesty to handle the truths which would arise from an opened Pandora's Box. The sword you point so firmly happens to be double-edged my friend...

Yes, we were fighting for the USA and Australia during WWII, and those wonderful Australians were so thankful that they wouldn't even let African American soldiers into their country.

You are talking about FIFTY PLUS YEARS AGO!!!!

Get over it,it is LONG past.

Most people have absolutely NO actual firsthand knowledge of segregation.

Next you will be telling us how you can sometimes feel the chains around your ankles from slavery days.

Hate to tell you this, but you are just an accident of birth, you did nothing to BE American beyond being born here....so sorry if I find you black first American second types a little sickening.

But I am VERY glad y'all actually posted for all to see,it will help those who still feel 'white guilt' to see how some black people see themselves and this nation.

Were you still black first and THEN American back then? And to be honest,I would say it to your face,I have no fear of the scary words and phrases that black race baiters use, they hold no power over me.

I don't give a damn what you find sickening. This isn't your home, and it's not your country. And it's not your place to say who "cares" about this country. You're a visitor. No more, no less.

And this bull about you being more than willing to offend the sensibilities of black folks who fought for this country to their faces is nonsense. You know better. You know your place, and you'll damn sure stay in it too. Let's not pretend that you don't act accordingly, because you most definitely do. Please...like you'll get out of line. LOL...yea, right. Not in a million years.

Silly little misinformed man! All you did was confirmed your ignorance of the history of this country. Segregation occured in the sixties, I was born during that time period, meaning einstein that MY PARENTS WERE HERE while it was going on and my GRANDPARENTS dealt with even greater perils of segregation and racism. While you were over in your own country having absolutely no clue what people of color were dealing with here. Also for your limited knowledge I have seen segregation even in my time through housing, employment, education and even pay. You would not know anything about that because you either were not here in this country or dismissed it because you, like many whites with your finite thinking refuse to venture outside your comfort zone and attempt to understand things that do not affect you directly. People like yourself want to take the word of an ostrasized person of color and believe that it is gospel. The sad thing about it I can't really say that you share the mindset of most Americans, because you are apparently ignorant of America's history or chose to ignore it. Even the most ardent racist is familiar with the racial history of this country and they look fondly of it, you don't even have a clue.

OMG, Obama is dressed up like a pirate with his White mother, to fool (some) people that he is White (or not?).
