Specifically between South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida? Which state would you consider the most freedom oriented, liberty oriented?

Florida easily.
In general the Southeast isn't a very "liberty oriented" region compared to the Mountain West or Northern New England. Too much influence of fundamentalist religion. (I take it by "liberty oriented" you mean economic freedom AND personal freedom.) |

I consider your states to be progressive heaven but then maybe that is what it takes to be liberty oriented. |

Fewer northern immigrants trying to control your life than in the other two.

I said Mountain West, not West Coast. The only West Coast state that's still "liberty oriented" is Oregon. ("Liberty oriented" means both personal freedom and economic freedom co-existing ; most of the South is very anti-personal freedom even if many Southern states score well on economic freedom.)
California, Hawaii, and Washington are definitely NOT liberty oriented today. Seattle, San Diego, and Los Angeles have amongst the least personal freedom of any American cities. No California city scores well on personal freedom, even the California city with the most amount of personal freedom (San Jose) is not that free. California, while at one time liberty oriented, has not been that way since the '60s (outside of the far north).
Florida's pretty good on liberty issues, actually.
By Northern New England I meant New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont, not Boston (which is as hostile to personal freedom as NYC, Chicago, Seattle, or the California cities) |
