This is supposed to be what? Humor? Far from funny ... it's actually quite sad. But not surprising, considering that the the number of people in India with the top 25% IQ's now exceeds the entire population of the United States. Restated, the United States is now a collection point for the concentration of the world's idiots.

So, I suppose the head of the Japanese Nuclear Power Utility breaking down in tears at a press conference is just an overreaction too? He's a sensitive fellow, and cries over old reruns of Lassie. And I suppose that the 3 Nuclear Scientists that resigned from GE in the 1970's in protest of the poor design of the plants that are now melting down in Japan were overreacting 40 years ago.

Yeah, that's the ticket .... just an overreaction.

Did you know a 10 human baby acquires 302 lb/ft of energy in a 30mph accident? How much kinetic energy do you think an aluminum jetliner full of adults acquires? Enough to destroy a skyscraper? Probably not. Thats why they made sure the planes were fully loaded with 10,000 gallons of aviation kerosene. Know how many tons of TNT in that amount of fuel? Probably as much as a dirty bomb and no nuclear fallout. Not that they cared but nuclear technology is kind of hard to come by on the street. As we know, it is not impossible to acquire more convention weapons of mass destruction if one can think outside the box. And Laura... not just California but Oregon, Washington, Idaho and eventually a farm near you. The whole world is going to feel the effects but the whole world will put it off to poor diet and lack of exercise like we do all the dying and death that is going on right now from man-made causes.
Well, going off into a long discussion on 911 and the physics of the "collapses" of the three buildings (one of which wasn't struck by a plane) would hijack the thread. Mentioning it was simply responding to the list of examples of overt lies from government, and how we cannot trust what the "authorities" are feeding us about the fallout from Japan.

Much of the pertinent debate on 911, if you are interested, can be found here,

TEPCO needs to bite the bullet here and take their loss on this by dumping tons of cement and cover this thing for good.

You need to cool the plant for a long time to come and it is still going critical at least in a low power way. Not good.

I heard about this days ago.

Japan to dump 11,500 metric tons of radioactive water | Reuters

I guess nobody is going to care until Godzilla himself rises out of the Pacific Ocean!

THANKS JAPAN!

Nooooo .... just a little free, no charge preemptive cancer treatment before you get cancer. They put the chemicals in the water, Japan adds the radiation ... badda bing, badda boom ... Chemotherapy and Radiation from the comfort of your own kitchen facet.

Read the history...the vast majority of the human impact and costs of both Chernobyl and Three Mile Island arose from fear, not radiation. Example: women far away from Chernobyl needlessly aborted healthy babies out of misplaced fear. The vast majority of costs of Fukushima will also come from misplaced fear, as well.

Do you know the mortality total, direct and indirect, from Three Mile Island?

It is rather doubtful that all those smart people in India that you cited for some reason would resort to conspiracy theories to explain everything they do not understand. It is not an attractive habit.

Dismissing the threat of radioactive release at the levels seen now, and may become worse, is total scientific arrogance.

The consequences to Japan are already very severe, and could result in countless deaths in the future, along with dead zones that are uninhabitable for generations.

The danger posed by this is not easily measured ... with damage caused not seen for years after exposure. So it's really a pure fraud that the "authorities" are dismissing it as no big deal. It is a big deal ... the damage won't be seen for years, and by then, no one will associate the increases in cancer to this event, which will be a historical footnote. That's what they are relying on ... the lack of immediate consequences gives them leave to make whatever claim they care to make.
Plenty of studies have been done on previous nuclear accidents and bomb testing fallout that unexpectedly blew back onto land. Read up on decades of research before you get too excited about scientific arrogance. Ignorance, fear and assumptions are your enemy.
