Um, modern society redefined marriage. Do you have any clue what form marriage took for the majority of human history, or do you just like being obtuse?
If gays were more passionate about supporting affirmative action, then your argument for "equality" might have some serious meat to it. "Selective equality" seems to be your focus and it is very, very hollow IMO.
Fight for equality for same sex marriage, while practicing inequality within the gay community: black gays are shunned within the gay community.
Fight for equality for same sex marriage, while not supporting affirmative action, thus pretending as if racism no longer exists to the detriment of black people. Not good.
do you have any idea what you are talking about, blacks shunned by the gay community, REALLY? I betcha, ALL short gays shun ALL tall gays, too.

Your post is hysterically funny....trying to deflect away from the thread parameters.....
Blacks shunned by the LGBT community is most laughable as it is many Blacks who are afraid to identify as being Gay and are on the "down low".
Who are YOU to assume gay people don't support equality for ALL people....that's misinformation at best and an all out lie at worst!
The HRC fights for all races etcetera and supports equal rights for all....try getting your facts straight before posting lies and misinformation.
Let's see some links supporting your misinformation....I'll be waiting as well as other educated posters.
op: when people are concerned about the future of the globe, issues like gay marriage go to the back burner. jmo.
ROFL....IF that's true why do so many voters deny rights to gays and why do Republicans go out of their way....wasting taxpayer momey and their time passing anti-gay legislation......
States spending money/time passing anti gay legislation........Are you serious.......
Let's face it most Republicans use Gay issues on a daily basis and their party platform features an anti-gay agenda!
3 of their 6 Civil Rights stances are against gays...so who's going out of their way to dwell on the gays.
the gays are just about the GREED of getting benefits
take the bennies away and the gays wont even think about marriage
Equal rights are greedy.....ROFL......take the rights away from ALL straights.......see what happens to your sorry .
Just because you don't want to or can't find someone to marry....Don't take out your hateful bitterness on Gays and Straights who do want to get married!
You got nerve telling me what you think I want....Get a life!
