Oh and for the person that was comparing MLK's peaceful movement for civil rights to This "pastor" burning the koran, that has got to be the worse analogy ever. MLK did his peacefully and did not want to incite violence. The pastor did this to incite it.

Go a head an burn a koran in your backyard and put it on Youtube if it will make you feel better.
You would not able to find me anything in the media that is bashing Mohammed or the Koran in the same fashion that they bash other religions. When it comes to disgracing the Islam religion we as a country tip toe around it.

Wanna burn a bible go ahead!
Wanna depict Jesus smoking pot! Not a problem!
Wanna make fun of Mohhamed? No we can't do that

So do you believe that MLK was probably not advised that in pursuing his civil rights movement that innocent people and possibly himself would get hurt or killed.

The Pastor burned the bible peacefully. I didn't see him shoot anyone did you?

Ugh. I give up. Bigotry, ignorance and simplemindedness wins again.

Gbagbo's wife is said to have much sway over her embattled husband and his supporters. And her power of persuasion was palpable at the rally. "The time for debates over the election between Gbagbo and the bandit chief [Oattara] is over," she said. "Our president [Gbagbo] has been vigorously placed in power and he is working.â€

Simone Gbagbo is an evangelical Christian and references to God fill her colourful speeches. Saturday’s address was no exception.

“God is leading our fight,†“God has already given us victory,†and “God is with the people, God chose Gbagbo†were just a few of the remarks heard at the rally in Abidjan.

Democrats and Republicans Both Adept at Ignoring Facts, Study Finds | LiveScience

Quote:
Democrats and Republicans alike are adept at making decisions without letting the facts get in the way, a new study shows.

And they get quite a rush from ignoring information that's contrary to their point of view.

"We did not see any increased activation of the parts of the brain normally engaged during reasoning," said Drew Westen, director of clinical psychology at Emory University. "What we saw instead was a network of emotion circuits lighting up, including circuits hypothesized to be involved in regulating emotion, and circuits known to be involved in resolving conflicts."
How facts backfire - The Boston Globe

Quote:
Recently, a few political scientists have begun to discover a human tendency deeply discouraging to anyone with faith in the power of information. It’s this: Facts don’t necessarily have the power to change our minds. In fact, quite the opposite. In a series of studies in 2005 and 2006, researchers at the University of Michigan found that when misinformed people, particularly political partisans, were exposed to corrected facts in news stories, they rarely changed their minds. In fact, they often became even more strongly set in their beliefs. Facts, they found, were not curing misinformation. Like an underpowered antibiotic, facts could actually make misinformation even stronger.

Are you suggesting unless you could CTRL+F for the words "I'm killing in the name of Jesus" that Gbagbo isn't invoking his Christian beliefs in order to do so?

What do you think the meaning of Gbagbo's wife's statements are that I posted?

Can you show us a Bible verse that tells us to kill for Christ?

Honestly...it's mind-boggling that anyone would defend that horrible religion.
