Officials of the Al-Gama’a Al-Islamiyya, one of Egypt's leading Islamic groups, have called for the establishment of a Saudi-style modesty police to combat "immoral" behavior in public areas in what observers say in another sign of a growing Islamic self-confidence in the post-Mubarak era.

Al-Gama'a has taken part in armed attacks in Egypt in the 1980s and 1990s, the most famous of which – the assassination of President Anwar Sadat in 1981. But now the group, which is officially still outlawed, has indicated its intention to join Egypt's new political arena.

So the MB calls for a modesty police because they know they are going to end up in control og Egypt. Now who's a conspiracy theorist again?

What makes you think they will wind up in control, just because they are present and happen to have an opinion?

Because THEY belive they will. If they belive it, they will do what it takes to get that control. Remember 1979 Iran? The same thing here, an Imam that was thrown out of the country 30 years ago has returned and is running the show. Sound familiar?

Yes I remember, and no, your answer really doesn't cut it. Egypt is not Iran.

I do realize that all of this stuff just falls into black and white categories for you guys, but the real world is a plethora of color.

I know a couple of saggy-pants kids who could use a visit from the modesty police.

Yeah ok, We'll see. Can't wait to hear your flip flop once they get in. I already know what you will say.

Your answer was insufficient.

I might agree with you if you managed to come up with something concrete on which to base your opinion, but it seems all you have to back it up is "because they want it so much."

That's just silly.

It's impossible for me to flip flop, because I haven't taken a position.

You absolutely HAVE taken a position. You believe that the MB won't get in. Why you believe that is a mystery since every time in past history when there was a chance for a REAL change in the ME, hardcore Islamists get to rule. This will be no different, they don't care what the people want, they only care about what THEY want.

Nope, never said that. I never expressed my opinion on the probability of it at all, I merely asked you to support your rather grand assertion that it was basically predetermined.

And what I got in response didn't really support your assertion.

History doesn't agree with you on that. It has happened in some cases, and not in others.

Again, the world is not a black and white place, and assertions of absolute certainty like yours just set you up to be wrong.
