Yeah... I guess McCain's campaign apparently didn't have the imagination to counter the funds raised by Obama back then. But the Supreme Court changed the playing field don't you think? I mean, things have changed since then... haven't they?

After the SC ruling, I hope the Dems raise as much money as possible to counter what the right wing conservative fund raising efforts will raise because of their ruling.

Default Plenty of wealth in SF

Obama estimated to raise a BILLION DOLLARS for his reelection. He has been an effective president. Pubs obviously appalled because their message is hollow and they face annihilation in 2012.

Only in Commifornia and more specifically the Bay Area. This is the land of Obama. Never seen so many idealistic people with no concept of reality.

San Francisco is where he usually says all of the goofy stuff that gets him in trouble. Maybe the pricetag is to discourage reporters from attending so he can keep saying the goofy stuff to a receptive audience.

But don't you remember, god made all those millions of gallons of spillt oil disappear! And wars are fun - just ask the guy who started them.
But, conservatives can eat their Freedom Fries (by the bucket full) in protest.

I bet he does. I just wonder how much of it was taxpayers money being funneled back into his campaign..

$3.2B for GE, tens of billions from stimulus, his bailing out of the car unions, waivers, and the list goes on and on about how Obama is using taxpayer money to buy support.

A lot of people owe Obama thanks for a very large sum of taxpayer money..
